An experienced medical professional and instructor possessing a diversity of training and expertise in the field of cancer treatment and research, Dr. Guido Marcucci attended the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, where he earned a doctor of medicine. Later, after completing his internship and multiple residencies, he fulfilled the obligations of a fellowship focused on medical oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute followed by a similar fellowship undertaken in conjunction with the Ohio State University (OSU) Comprehensive Cancer Center. At present, Dr. Guido Marcucci serves as a professor in the Division of Hematology at OSU and at its Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Guido Marcucci maintains responsibilities at OSU’s College of Medicine as the Charles Austin Doan Chair of Medicine. An active contributor to his field, he affiliates with a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the American Society of Hematology.
