Chinese American Culture Night (CACN) is an annual stage production hosted by the Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) at UCLA. Held in world-famous Royce Hall every spring, the show features performances by Lion Dance, Traditional Dance, Hip Hop, and guest singers (this year we will feature Youtube star ClaraC), as well as a drama highlighting the issues facing the Chinese American community.

This year we present the story of Vincent Chin, whose death sparked the first pan-Asian movement across the country. The injustice surrounding his beating and the subsequent trial illustrated the necessity for large-scale community activism, and continues to be a defining moment in Chinese American history, even as we approach the 30th anniversary of his death.

Now in our 23rd year, CACN continues to educate the greater community on issues that directly affect us all, and to promote Chinese American cultural awareness on and beyond the UCLA campus.
