Note: This route is subject to change, and if changes occur, they will not happen within a week leading up to the race. Please come back and check the route the week of!

ROUTE: This route takes runners through the scenic downtown area of Gillette, Wyoming. At the 1 mile mark, runners will find themselves running through Lasting Legacy Park before heading back towards the downtown area. Once the participants arrive back to Gillette Ave they will take a left to begin the ascent up towards the 2 mile mark. Just past the 2 mile mark, the runners will take a U-turn at the T.  The participants will begin descending down Gillette Ave, and once they reach 3rd Street they will turn left. From here, the participants have roughly 1k left to run! They will run/walk to 4-J Rd and take a right followed by another right on 2nd St. The finish line will be awaiting all participants just before they reach Gillette Ave!

There will be volunteers, cones, and upside down chalk paint to help guide you through the course and assure safe passing. We are planning on having a lead bike as well for the speedsters up front!

This is both a beautiful and challenging route which runners should enjoy, and if they can make it up Gillette Ave and through 2 miles, the final kilometer should help them in running fast through the finish!

AID STATIONS: There will be an aid station with water a quarter mile before the participants enter Lasting Legacy Park, which runners should pass through twice. There will be a couple volunteers out there handing the cups to the runners/walkers!

The Gillette College Cross Country Team has teamed up with Gillette Main Street to put on the Eclipse 5k Race. We are hoping that this is the first race of many to kick off the academic year. The cross country team will be the primary volunteers of this event in an effort to fundraise money for their upcoming cross country season. All proceeds of this event will go towards funding team travel, gear, and scholarships to help give the student-athletes the best possible experience.

There will also be a Pancake Feed sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Gillette at the finish line from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. If you finish the 3.1 mile race in under an our, enjoy some breakfast at the finish line!
