We are a coffee shop on the corner of West 122th Street and Broadway, near Columbia University.

Founded on 1989 by Larry the Cook, our restaurant consists of a number of booths, tables and a counter.

Many of Monk's best customers are the Columbia Students. Over the years, Monk's has become a right of passage for the students. Life is not complete for a Columbia student unless they get a milkshake and gravy fries at 3am in the morning on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night.
