These popular Parker-Brooks programs produce noticeable results in an average 3-4 months, depending on current fitness level, total program adherence, age and genetics.

1. Maximum Lean Tissue In 4 Months

There are many reasons to be in the best shape possible within a given time frame; and a well-designed exercise program can deliver the desired results. Although expectations for a "complete body make-over" in four months are rather unrealistic, quite a lot can be accomplished. This intense 4-month plan requires full commitment to the program, pre-existing intrinsic motivation, as well as familiarity with the some basic exercise methods.

2. Faster & Stronger Every Way

All physical exercise has many cognitive benefits. Increased oxygen and blood flow to the brain results in a clearer, faster and sharper mind, which improves memory, academic and work performance, reduces stress and increases endorphin production. "Faster & Stronger Every Way" -program integrates lean tissue building resistance training with specific exercises and drills to enhance coordination, speed, focus, adaptability and overall cognitive function.

3. Body Part Specific

Body part specific exercise programs, i.e working towards toned arms, stronger-looking legs, defined back, fuller and rounder butt are often times enough to improve a person's appearance and well-being, assuming that the focus area is in proportion with the rest of the body. A Parker-Brooks trainer will help you to enhance any isolated muscle group, while taking into account opposing muscle groups to avoid possible strength and muscle imbalances.

4. Start & Keep Moving

A program recommended to individuals without any exercise experience or knowledge. The program starts with an introduction to the benefits of regular exercise, the fundamentals of healthy nutrition and other lifestyle choices. Parker-Brooks trainer will help with setting fitness goals, choosing the most suitable exercise form and finding the intrinsic motivation.

1. Can I choose my trainer?

Of course. Once we know more about your goals, location and preferred time for your sessions, we'll introduce you to all our available trainers.

2. Do I need a home gym?

No, we can conduct an effective resistance training or other exercise session with minimal equipment in almost any indoor or outdoor space at your home, park, hiking trail or beach (when permitted.) Our trainer will provide the necessary exercise equipment. Only if your goals include advanced strenght/power or hypertrophy (bodybuilding) resistance training, a well-equipped home gym would offer more exercise options when designing your fitness program  -or we can take you to a commercial gym.

3. How much does it cost to hire a Parker-Brooks personal trainer?

Most programs start from $80/60 minute session.

4. How long will it take to reach my fitness goals?

It depends on your goals, current state of fitness and genetics. Most first timers need to familiarize themselves with stability, mobility and movement training before progressing towards actual resistance training or other methods of exercise. Once the basics are mastered, the progression is usually quite quick. The importance of continuous adherence to the exercise program, understanding the role of proper nutrition and sufficient rest cannot be overstated.

5. I don't have specific goals, I just want to stay fit and maintain good health. Do you have a program for me?

Yes, "Start & Keep Moving" -program is perfect for you. However, setting small mini goals along the way would keep the training more interesting.

6. Can you train me at a commercial gym?

Yes. We do rent space from various commercial gyms for our use when requested by a client.

7. I'm ready. What's the first step?

Please use our contact form and start the dialogue by telling us about fitness goals, past exercise history, location and desired time for your sessions.

After the initial contact we'd like to meet you in person, see your exercise space or home gym and develop a plan that's right for you.

Resistance Training

When combined with proper nutrition, resistance training (increasing and maintaining lean tissue) will provide numerous benefits.

Aside from looking toned and feeling great, these benefits are necessary for good health, especially as we age. An adult loses 5+ pounds of lean tissue per decade due to aging and inactivity. As the muscle disappears (known as atrophy, starting as early as late 20s) the metabolic rate slows down. As lean tissue decreases so does calorie expenditure. Less calories are burned; resulting in lean tissue being replaced by fat, changing body composition. Weight loss based on calorie restriction alone will result in loss of lean tissue and sagging skin. For every lost fat pound, muscle is lost as well.

The good news is that regular resistance training can reverse muscle loss and rebuild lean tissue, even in older adults. The more lean tissue you have, the more calories you burn; not only while working out, but after workouts, and even during sleep. No cardio exercise alone can offer this overall calorie expenditure. Consistent resistance training increases bone density, strengthens tendons and ligaments, helps you maintain better stability and balance.

Resistance training is much more than "lifting weights." Lean, toned bodies can be sculpted with bodyweight exercises alone, or with the help of minimal exercise equipment. All you need is a space, Parker-Brooks personal trainers will provide all the necessary equipment.
