Please read through the below information before booking.

Before your onboarding:
 
Timing:
It is vital that you are on time as this is a reflection of your ability to turn up to a job before the start time. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled on-boarding. Please allow up to 1.5 hours to complete your onboarding session.
 

 

Dress code (Mandatory): 

If you are applying for Hospitality FOH:

  • Plain white long-sleeved business shirt
  • Black dress pants (no jeans or leggings)
  • Black closed-toe leather shoes (no ballet flats or runners)
  • Long hair tied back and neat facial hair

If you are applying for Manual Labour/Warehousing:

  • Steel Cap boots
  • Hi-vis shirt or Vest

Business Support/Other:

Business casual or smart casual attire

 
What does onboarding involve?
  • An informative presentation on Sidekicker and what is expected.
  • A one on one interview about your experience and skills
  • A skills assessment
  • Finalise, review and submit your profile for approval.
 
What to bring:
  • Laptop or iPad
  • If you are an Australian citizen, your passport or medicare card
  • If you are not an Australian Citizen, your passport and visa
  • If you are looking for work in Hospitality FOH, your RSA
  • Any other relevant certificates such as a Police Check, Working with Children's Check, Certificate in Commercial Cookery, etc.
If you do not follow the instructions above, you may not be able to complete your onboarding session.

Before attending your on-boarding, please complete your Sidekicker profile.
 
The better your profile is, the more likely you’ll be selected for the jobs you want. That’s because your Sidekicker profile is the number one tool that companies use when selecting the right Sidekick for the job. It's important to note that they dont have access to your CV so dont leave anything out.
 
Here are our insiders tips to help you show off your experience, skills and key strengths.

 

PROFILE SETTINGS

 

1. Biography
  • Introduce yourself
  • Talk about what you are currently doing (study, work, travel etc.)
  • Outline your work experience (industries, roles and skills gained)
  • Finish with your key strengths and why you would be a great Sidekick
     
2. What you do when you're not Sidekicking
  • Talk about some of your interests, hobbies and what you do for fun
 
 
3. Work categories
  • Complete 'Why you're great for these jobs'
    (strengths, experience and why you would enjoy work in this category)
  • Add your experience (employer, role, time frame and description)
     

 

ACCOUNT SETTINGS

 

Complete all tabs:

  • Personal details (Full name, address, gender, email, phone & DOB)
  • Employment information (TFN, superannuation details & tax declaration)
  • Bank details
  • Documentation (Certificates such as RSA, Visa, Working with Children, First Aid)

 

 

​APPLICATION STATEMENT

 

When you apply for a Sidekicker job, it is really important to always write an application statement to highlight your skills and why you should be picked. When there's a large number of Sidekicks applying for the same job, results show that the Sidekicks who gets chosen are the ones with brilliant profiles and a well written application statement.
